Mehr als die H\u00e4lfte des in der Schweiz verbrauchten Stroms stammt aus Speicher- und Laufwasserkraftwerken. Diese einheimische, nat\u00fcrliche, erneuerbare und emissionsarme Energiequelle zeichnet sich zudem durch einen hohen Wirkungsgrad aus. Das Ausbaupotenzial dieser Energiequelle im Kanton ist jedoch begrenzt.<\/p>\n<p><br class=\"avia-permanent-lb\" \/>Das gr\u00f6sste Steigerungspotenzial liegt in der Verbesserung der Energieeffizienz der bestehenden Kraftwerke und in der Turbinierung von Trinkwasser. Der Bau neuer Wasserkraftwerke an Fliessgew\u00e4ssern ist ebenfalls eine Option, vorrangig gr\u00f6ssere Kraftwerke, unter Ber\u00fccksichtigung der Interessen der anderen betroffenen Sachgebiete (Biodiversit\u00e4t, Landschaft, Umwelt, Raumplanung usw.).<\/p>\n<p><br class=\"avia-permanent-lb\" \/>Ausserdem sorgt der Kanton daf\u00fcr, dass die bestehenden Gross- und Kleinwasserkraftwerke, die Umweltprobleme verursachen, gem\u00e4ss der kantonalen Planung zur Renaturierung der Gew\u00e4sser und dem Bundesgesetz \u00fcber den Schutz der Gew\u00e4sser saniert werden.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><br \/>\n<div  style='height:50px' class='hr hr-invisible   avia-builder-el-17  el_after_av_textblock  avia-builder-el-last '><span class='hr-inner ' ><span class='hr-inner-style'><\/span><\/span><\/div><\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"flex_column av_one_half  flex_column_div av-zero-column-padding   avia-builder-el-18  el_after_av_one_half  el_before_av_hr  \" style='border-radius:0px;
